How to manage your account and your authorizations
My account is your personal page: your sign-in details, your security, and the authorizations you gave over your own data. Nobody else can change from here what is yours to decide.
You reach it from your name, bottom left, then My account.
Steps
- Open your name in the bottom-left corner and click My account.
- Under Profile you update your name, your photo and your email addresses.
- Under Security you change your password and turn on two-step verification.
- Under My data you see your authorizations and can request that your account be deleted.
Each tab has its own address, so you can bookmark one directly: /account for
Profile, /account/security for Security and /account/data for My data.
Your authorizations
Under My data, the My authorizations card shows two lines:
- Data processing — display only. This is the authorization that lets your institution store and use your data, and you gave it when booking or when signing the authorization document. To revoke it, write to the institution.
- Marketing · optional — you control this one with the switch. Turn it on to receive promotions and news, off to stop receiving them.
Your appointment reminders do not depend on the marketing switch. If you turn it off, we still remind you about your appointments.
Nobody at the practice can turn marketing on for you. They used to be able to, which produced a record nobody could challenge; now the decision lives where you make it.
Deleting your account
Under My data, the Danger zone has Delete my account. It deletes nothing straight away: it files a deletion request under Colombian Law 1581 of 2012. We confirm receipt within 2 business days and resolve it within 30 days.
⚠️ Clinical records your institution must keep by law (15 years from the last visit) are not deleted by this request. Your institution is responsible for them, and we notify it of your request.
Tip
If you want to stop receiving promotions but stay a patient, turn off Marketing only. Deleting your account is a much larger decision and is not needed for that.
