How to create the characters for your reels

A video walkthrough of this guide. Narrated in Spanish, with subtitles.

Characters are the people who appear in your reels: your presenter, who speaks to camera, and, if you want, people who appear in the scenes (a dad, a patient). Each one always has the same face, in every photo and every video, because everything is generated from their reference images.

If you built your brand with SarAI, your presenter is already set: you chose her at the end. This guide is for changing her or adding more characters.

In Social Media → Brand (Redes Sociales → Marca), press Edit (Editar) in the Characters block.

The Characters block in Brand

Your presenter

On the left are your characters; tap one to see it. Their reference images — front-facing, medium shot, in a consultation and in another outfit — are what keeps it always the same person. If you don’t like them, press Regenerate (Regenerar) (uses image credits).

Your presenter's reference images

There is only one presenter. If you give that role to another character, the previous one starts appearing in scenes instead.

Create a character

Press New character (Nuevo personaje).

New character

Type their Name and choose their Role: Presenter (speaks to camera) or Person (appears in scenes).

Name

Role

Under Description, say what they look like: age, hair, clothes, how they smile.

Description

Use your photos

If you would rather the character be you, press Use my photos (Usar mis fotos), upload up to four photos of yourself (the first one front-facing and well lit) and accept the authorization: they are your photos, you authorize their use only for your clinic’s marketing content, and you can revoke it whenever you want. It is the same authorization as for cloning your voice.

Use my photos

Save and generate their images

Press Save character (Guardar personaje).

Save character

Then press Generate images (Generar imágenes). A front-facing photo is generated first and, from it, the rest, so it is always the same person. It costs image credits.

Generate images

Delete character (Eliminar personaje) also deletes all of their images; if they were your photos, the authorization is revoked. Reels already published do not change. If the person in the photos leaves the team, their character is deleted automatically.

How they appear in your reels

  • In every scene where the script names the character (or the doctor), the image starts from their reference photo.
  • The moments in the reel marked as presenter show her speaking to camera, with your brand voice and lip-synced.

Tip

A specific description gives better results: “speech therapist in her 30s, long dark hair, black uniform” works better than “friendly doctor”.
